Key Feature: Pass-Through Design
Cat6 pass-through connectors allow the individual conductors to pass completely through the front of the connector before crimping.
This design enables the technician to:
- Visually confirm the correct wiring order (T568A or T568B)
- Ensure each conductor is fully inserted
- Reduce wiring mistakes before crimping
Optimized Electrical Performance
Performance is improved by:
- Pulling the connector down tightly over the cable jacket
- Seating the cable jacket firmly into the rear of the connector
- Minimizing the untwisted length of each wire pair
By reducing the distance between the wire twists and the connector contacts, signal integrity is improved. This helps maintain:
- Proper impedance
- Lower crosstalk
- Better Cat6 performance at higher frequencies (up to 250 MHz)
